Our Story

The Moolmans

Thanks for adventuring down Moolman Lane! We are Johan & Marissa Moolman the husband and wife team who have a passion for home renovations and timeless designs.

Johan is from Port Elizabeth, South Africa and Marissa is from Redding, California and met working aboard a cruise ship! Long story short it was love at first site (yes we believe in that). We have been working partners since 2010 and married since 2011 but our greatest achievement was becoming parents to our baby boy Kaden Lane in 2017 (born on our 6 year wedding anniversary).

 

Moolman Designs

As a husband/wife team worked for over 10 years in luxury jewelry sales and brand development and that confirmed our passion for all things luxury & design. It wasn’t until we purchased our home in 2014 and decided to take on a master bathroom renovation that we realized home design was our THING! We jumped in and created Moolman Designs.

Johan began renovating homes while Marissa became a certified Interior Designer and we both LOVE the feeling of turning something old and outdated into something BEAUTIFUL.

Creating and growing this business has been something we are extremely passionate about. Thank you taking a walk down Moolman Lane!
